About this movie

Hoping to reverse a 'curse' that's hung over his family for generations, Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) hatches a plan to rob the Charlotte Motor Speedway during the Coca-Cola 600, NASCAR's biggest race of the year. He convinces his bartender brother Clyde (Adam Driver) and hairdresser sister Mellie (Riley Keough) to help him pull everything off--but first they have to break the bomb maker Joe Bang (Daniel Craig) out of jail in broad daylight. Academy Award® winner Hilary Swank plays a no-nonsense FBI agent determined to bring the Logans to justice and keep them from racing away with the loot in this high-speed caper from Academy Award®-winning director Steven Soderbergh.

Quite possibly the slowest movie I've seen in awhile and I'm not sure how it got the "comedy" genre category. I was more sad than laughing during this one. Very clever, cool to watch it come together but not a fan of a few of the actors. Some parts were cute but I wouldn't say funny and the soundtrack was NOT for me.

How did this movie get 93% on Rotten Tomatoes? It seems the people behind the Ocean's 11 franchise decided they needed to do a remake but for red state audiences / NASCAR fans and then didn't bother to do any research on country accents or colloquialisms. The actors seem to just do bad impressions of red necks. And the plot...don't get me started. Stay away. Bad Movie.

Fun, clever and well thought out. Seriously, it's a good ol' fashioned stick it to the man heist movie, so don't expect an epic blockbuster but this flick still delivers. Throw a couple brews back (or three [or four {or.. 6.. *burp*}]) , let your suspension of disbelief be a little more willing and you'll enjoy the subtle ironies and humor of this movie. The end even brings a little twist and a twinge of emotion to bring a decent end to this comedic caper. Daniel Craig looks like he enjoyed himself, you should too, so go ahead... check it out and... Enjoy!
