About this movie

Lola-- an ex-con who completes her community service by picking up trash on the side of the road-- records an apology video for her mysterious pen-pal "Henry." Through her video antics, which range from darkly humorous to heartbreakingly honest, we discover a girl who's full of contradictions. Who is Henry, and why can't Lola let go? Written by, directed by, and starring multi-talent Valerie Brandy, "Lola's Last Letter" is "... an inspiring story of re-finding and defining yourself by your future, not your past." (Dances with Films). See the movie that inspired the #lolaslastletter anonymous apologies movement!

You can feel the love that went into making this film. The performances are outstanding. The writer/director Valerie Brandy pours her heart out as Lola, and she's supported by an incredibly talented cast. I want to see more from everyone who was involved in the making of this movie. Is it perfect? No. It's an indie film, it's low budget... But damn. It sure will make you laugh and cry. It's very honest. Very real. It's a love story and an apology.
