I agree with the other reviews that this movie gets more morally complex towards the end of the movie. The main fight sequence sees Afghanis dropping like flies while the Americans seem to take 1000 bullets each and still manage to stand. But when things move to the final village the depiction of Afghanis seems a lot more balanced, which is great. Worth the watch.

yeah, I seen this movie at the cinemas, a well made movie. It gave me the idea that whoever was training US soldiers for missions in that part of the world had failed to the maximum extent that failure could be determined. Those US soldiers as represented in this movie would still be enjoying their family today if they had been trained to truly understand that line Marky mark had said in the movie.... "look at them, they really hate US"

A powerful movie based on a true story of war. It's terrible that soliders would find themselves in such a hopeless situation such as this one. It was very emotional. And makes you question what we choose to do with our lives. I think that is it's purpose. Some action films are very Hollywood in nature, but this one is very serious in tone. And rightly so. On a lighter note did Eric Bana do a good American accent? As a fellow Australian I'm sure I could hear a little Aussie twang now and then :)
