The follow up to the cult classic horror hit about the battle between Californians and teenage vampires, a brother and sister have moved to Santa Carla, only to get mixed up with a gang of surfers that are more than they appear to be. The sequel takes us back to the familiar shady surf city of Santa Carla, California, where vampire surfers quickly dispatch anyone who tries to invade their turf. Into this dark world arrive moody Chris Emerson and his shy sister, Nicole. Subtle references to their father, Michael, immediately establish a link to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom. A strong word of advice: do not watch this film expecting to see the original 80s film. This is a straight-to-DVD sequel capitalizing on the popularity of the first film. They even get Kiefer Sutherland's half-brother to play a David-like character. With that said, it is a fun film deserving an unbiased view. Most people who view it will do so on the strength of the first so that will be difficult. If you can get passed that, this film can be enjoyable on its own merits.

It was ok..the head vampire is real half brother of keifer Sutherland but thats the only connection.. didn't understand why Haim wasn't involved..they messed up not having him in it with the exception of the weird cameo of him as a vampire I would have loved to see more of the original cast involved as well

One of the best. If not the best film in its class! Twice as good as the original and a vast improvement from the silly tween twilight movies
