Informacje o filmie

From the director of The Virgin Suicides, Sofia Coppola, and shot entirely on location in Japan, Lost In Translation is a laugh-out-loud portrayal of loneliness and human connection. Featuring superior performances from Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson as Bob and Charlotte, two Americans in Tokyo. Bob is a movie star in town to shoot a whiskey commercial, while Charlotte is a young wife tagging along with her workaholic photographer husband. Through their respective insomnias, the two cross paths one night in the luxury hotel bar and strike up a surprisingly intimate friendship. As the unlikely pair venture through Tokyo together, having often hilarious encounters with its citizens, they ultimately discover a new belief in life's possibilities. - 2003 Lost In Translation Inc. Vaguely recall enjoying this movie a lot more back when it came out. Now it's hard to look past the vanity, shallow characters, and barely concealed superficiality. Too much of this movie is dull noise and scenery, with nudity and suggestive nudity used as flavour. Rubbish. The sweetness and innocence of their relationship is very much the only redeeming feature of this movie.

This is my favourite film and I can't really describe why. Maybe an affinity with the feeling of hopelessness and that of feeling lost. This has become my go to movie of choice to cheer me whenever I feel overwhelmed
