Amore e misericordia: Faustina inizia con Santa Faustina prima che Cristo la chiamasse alla vita religiosa e la segue mentre non solo risponde alla chiamata di Cristo, ma riceve l'immagine della Divina Misericordia in una visione del 1931 in una piccola città della Polonia. L'immagine non diventa una realtà tangibile fino a quando anni dopo il suo confessore convince un artista locale a dipingere l'immagine. Santa Faustina non ci sarebbe più per vedere il mondo venerare l'immagine della Divina Misericordia, nonostante il suo confessore avesse cercato l'approvazione del Vaticano. Purtroppo incontrò molti ostacoli. Solo quando Papa Giovanni Paolo II si interessò dell'immagine e della storia di Santa Faustina che l'immagine fu diffusa in tutto il mondo. Inoltre, l'analisi scientifica presentata in Amore e misericordia: Faustina conferma che Santa Faustina vide Cristo nella sua visione.

Loved it, but not nearly as much as Jesus loves us. This film reveals what a personal relationship with Jesus means. He died for us out of love, so we must suffer and die to ourselves for him to show the authenticity of our love. Jesus desires that we live eternally with him and freely choose to be with him forever out of love for him. His mercy is a gift which we are free to accept or reject. I recommend this film to those who wish to better know Jesus as a real person and hopefully accept him in their hearts. Faustina renounces all the vain pleasures of this world early in the film to dedicate her life to Jesus and carry out his will with complete trust. Now she is eternally happy in the loving presence of Jesus with a joy that can never be experienced in this life. May this film inspire all viewers to be like her in how she personally relates to Jesus.

St Faustina shows us what it really means when we are told "With God, all things are possible"... And by our own efforts, nothing is possible.

One very important thing I learned from this is that I am going to Hell. No question about it anymore. No need to pretend otherwise I reckon.
