Love, Simon is simple movie that exceeds in telling a beautiful story of love and acceptance. This movie had a profound affect on me, as someone who hasn't come out, and had me smiling, giggling and crying all throughout. With fun music, great acting and unexplored themes, Love, Simon tells the story of a young man trying to keep his sexuality a secret, and meets someone on the internet who's just like him. Despite its simple story, these themes of coming out have never really been explored in cinema until Love, Simon, making it, in my opinion, an extremely important movie. To conclude my review, Love, Simon is a well written, emotional and beautiful movie. I implore you to watch this movie, especially those dealing with issues about sexuality.

LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE this movie. I have watched it maaaannnyy times (much to the dismay of my family) and it is my new favourite. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a movie with humor, love stories, and a healthy amount of drama (but not too much).

This is the movie I wished was around when I was in my teens. The balance of humour, romance, and drama helps tell the story of Simon. The acting is flawless and realistic with some classic one liners. Simon knows who he is but finds it hard to tell others. It’s a story that resonates with every LGBT+ person. Your coming out. The scene where his sister asks if he’s going to deny it, and Simon’s replays “no I’m not ashamed” is so important for LGBT+ youth to hear. Let’s just hope we all have parents like Simon. First time I watched, I was on a plane so I was trying to hide my ugly cry. This is a classic already.
