This my favorite love story. It is powerful, poignant, funny & touching. It tells an important story set in a time in the 1960s when a woman had two choices if she became pregnant out of wedlock, and the bravery it takes to deal with the possible consequences of having an abortion on both the woman's part and the man's part. Great acting by Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen draws the viewer in, and they have GREAT chemistry together. A thought-provoking movie that includes a great love story.

This is a movie that seems quirky, except for those who were young during the 60's. For some of us this was almost a biography, with a better happy ending. Although this is so New York in sights and sounds, you don't have to be a New Yorker to enjoy and end feeling like you are more than a tourist, you belong!
