While fighting for his country in Vietnam, Dalton finds out that his girlfriend back home has dumped him. He has one week s leave coming up so decides to escape the war and fly half way round the world to get her back. Joined by his best friend, they go A.W.O.L from the horrors of the war zone, and have seven days to get back to America, change his girlfriend s mind and make it back without anyone noticing. Along the way they must make some life changing decisions as they learn the truth about love, honour and commitment.
