The intrigue unfolds through interviews with the characters closest to Vincent and through dramatic reconstructions of the events leading up to his death. Loving Vincent features 120 of Vincent van Gogh's greatest paintings. The plot, drawn from the 800 letters written by the painter himself, leads us to the significant people and events in the time prior to his unexpected death. Breathtaking! Long awaited mystery solved? I saw Vincent done by Leanard Nemoy a one man show on stage in Philly many years ago, I enjoyed it but it was so "dark." I am still life & landscape painter have been all my life & art student & lover of the arts! Movie blew me away. Then the bonus of seeing two of my fav. Actors was icing on the cake. Adain Turner & the awesome woman who plays his wife in a PBS historical drama series we're both amazing. Well done everyone! Thank you

For nothing else, the visual presentation and artistry to make this is simply amazing. Add to it the sad, horrible story of one of the most beautiful souls to grace this world leaving it and you have incredible potential. Simply wonderful way to spend time and escape reality for a few minutes. Just like going to a museum and seeing the masters work in person. But, I am a huge fan, too.

This is such a most beautiful way of telling the story of Vincent. I have always loved his paintings and I felt so sorry that it was told to us that he took his own life. Now I feel I understand so much better what happened.
