영화 정보

Luce is a smart psychological thriller that will leave audiences breathless. An all-star high school athlete and accomplished debater, Luce (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) is a poster boy for the new American Dream - as are his parents (Naomi Watts and Tim Roth), who adopted him from a war-torn country a decade earlier. When Luce's teacher (Octavia Spencer) makes a shocking discovery in his locker, Luce's stellar reputation is called into question. But is he really at fault, or is Ms. Wilson preying on dangerous stereotypes? Stacked with amazing performances, and adapted from JC Lee's acclaimed play, director Julius Onah has created an intense, multi-layered and deeply entertaining look at identity in today's America.

Overated and very underwhelming. Had alot of potential but fell short. I want my time back, just read the Wikipedia page and save your time and money. The best part of the movie Octavia and Tim Roth's acting.

Who is really the bad person here? Or are they all to blame in their own way? The movie leave that decision (s) up to the viewer. It really was a good movie until about the last 20 minutes when you realize that this movie is not going to tie up the loose ends. For me this is what killed my rating which would have been four stars. It's quite unfortunate.

A question driven drama that proves effective with all these stories yet tied into one. Race, mental health, school problems. They come together where it really makes you wonder. Poor treatment of one with disabilities is done well in Luce. Race plays well here. I loved seeing a white family raise a African American. The school issues are played importantly where it works. Spencer delievers. All of them do here. Shocking and amazing and powerful. One of the best films of 2019.
