Acerca de esta película

Screen idol and Academy Award-winning superstar Mel Gibson ("Maverick," "Lethal Weapon" series) stars in this mythical futuristic tale from writer-director George Miller ("The Witches of Eastwick"). In this boxoffice winner and critical phenomenon, Mad Max joins forces with nuclear holocaust survivors to defend an oil refinery under siege from a ferocious, marauding horde that plunders the land for gasoline. The winner of five Australian Film Institute Awards, Newsweek calls this a "sensational slam-bang end-of-the-world picture." The New York Times says it's "an extravagant film fantasy...action packed...and] extremely witty." "One of the year's 10 best," raves Time Magazine. Followed by "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" in this enormously successful film series. MPAA Rating: R © 1983 Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. All Rights Reserved

Beautiful examination of the human condition and the frailty of our present day social constructs and superficial reality. This cult classic series is the best post-apocalyptic film series of all time as it follows Max's efforts to navigate a world gone mad after the loss of his wife and child.

From the legendary V8 Interceptor to Max' loyal canine companion, Miller gives just as he takes away. The result is a world of eerily necessary chaos, where desperation plays an unpredictable and strange bedfellow to excess.

I love this film. From the car chases to the car chases this film is the structures for most post apocalyptic films today. I'm my opinion this would be one of Kennedy and Miller's greatest films.
