From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky. Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max (Tom Hardy) believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa (Charlize Theron). They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

I was looking forward to watching Mad Max Fury Road - having heard good things, and liking the Mel Gibson films. However I have to say I was a little disappointed! It's all go from the start, and I found it a little difficult to get into. As other reviews that I've read say, it is one big race, which isn't bad, but it doesn't really have much of a story. It does have a few cool effects and on the big screen I'm sure it looked awesome, overall it was OK!

I remember watching all of the Mad Max films many years ago and I thought they were great. So having read the positive reviews I decided to watch the fourth installment. Not impressed at all. It was a pointless film with a pointless plot. If it wasn't for the stunts and explosions I would have given it one star. Shame because I really was hoping it would capture the three previous film in all their glory.

Truly disappointing and sad remake of a cinema classic. No viable story line to be found anywhere. FX great but please, please Holywood your job is not just pretend to blow stuff up it is to pluck our emotional strings. Make us hate, lead us to love. This film gives it's name sake the finger.
