'Mad Monster Party?' is awkward Rankin/Bass storytelling/pacing combined with scenes that are problematic in 2021 (such as a guy repeatedly slapping the hysterical out of a woman who immediately falls in love with him... yikes). You're probably better off with the 'Hotel Transylvania' series to fill the role of fun children's monster movie Halloween entertainment than this.

Few childhood memories resonate like this one, one of the more underrated pieces from famed TV Director Jules Bass. Capitalizing on the timeless classic that was "The Munsters," Bass brings together the most iconic classic horror monsters in cinema history, and marries one of them to Phyllis Diller!! The plot is ridiculous, but the humor was dead-on satirical as it semi-spoofed many classic monster movies, but the "Twilight Zone"-style twist at the ending makes it all worth it.

Pretty enjoyable movie. Some scenes do drag on for too long, but also knowing that they were done like thst cause they wanted to hit the 90 min mark (it was one of the few R/B movies in theaters) I can forgive it for that. Allen Swift is great and even though he plays almost everyone, he does a great job at plying a diverse cast of characters (except Yetch i hate him with my will to live). Songs are okay, good be better, but it's still a great movie.
