The story of Disney's most iconic villain continues in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. The years have been kind to Maleficent and Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet hatred between man and the fairies still exists. Aurora's impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration as the wedding serves to unite the Kingdom of Ulstead and the neighboring Moors. But, when an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be a family. I watch it for characters, conclusion and sometimes sequels can be good. This one was a little muddled. Is she evil or not. But they can you change back and forth and loose sight of where the character(s) going.

Sequels are never as good. Though i thinj the lessons that comes from this and the descendants movies are applicable to real life and needing to get away from the notion of us vs them. Which is really important to teach at the age and level the movie is geared towards

If you loved/liked the first one, I guarantee you will love/like this one! I definitely recommend this movie for lovers of fairytales or Maleficent (or anyone).
