Om den här filmen

Legendary Lucille Ball heads an all-star cast in her final feature film appearance. This lush screen adaptation of the Broadway musical hit "Auntie Mame" continues the story of the eccentric Mame who believes that "life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death." Co-starring Oscar-nominee Robert Preston ("Victor/Victoria") and TV's "Golden Girl" Beatrice Arthur.

This is one of the top ten worst movies I've seen in my lifetime. Lucille Ball, whom I adore, comes off as cold and bitchy. Bea Arthur is at least somewhat entertaining but overbearing and I'm normally a huge fan of hers. Patrick is played by complete no talents and the story is absolutely disjointed and dull. I kept watching to the end thinking it might improve but no such luck.

But, unfortunately the other Mame is better. I've seen almost all of Lucille Ball's work, have purchased quite a bit, and have seen her stuff multiple times throughout my life, but the other Mame is better, as much as it hurts to admit it.

A lot of charm,Bea Arthur is magnificent! While I normally prefer the Rosalind Russell version, I still find myself watching this one as frequently.
