This movie is one of the few "revenge romp" types that actually feel vindicated. The intensity of the filmmaking & Denzel Washington's stunning yet heartbreaking performance left a lasting impact on me. Christopher Walken feels like an odd choice for a supporting actor on paper, but delivers in a rare but excellently done straight-faced, serious role. Dakota Fanning delivered despite her age at the time. A must-own.

Denzel Washington, Christopher Walken, Dakota Fanning, Marc Anthony - all bring their 'A game' to a movie that gets better & better as it rolls. Choppy editing makes for a difficult watch at times, but the emotional depth & action this movie pulls out makes it! DW is a retired, beaten, special forces-op, doing body-guard duty for an adorable baby in Mexico - where the top money-making crime is kidnapping for ransom! Wrath, is what he becomes in the last 1/2 of this flick, & it's breath-taking to behold!

Man on Fire~~Denver Washington and Dakota Fanning ~ beautiful chemistry between these two actors. Watched this so many times and always find something new to relate to each time. One of very few DVDs been added to my library. Would recommend adults only,,violence to a new level. Too bad such actions by Creasy, in vengence, could not serve as an example what will happen to real life criminals who participate in kidnapping and human trafficking.
