Ethan Minsker’s story is an inspiring one to say the least. While I see why one might call this self indulgent, I find it bold to celebrate yourself and your own art. Even if his story wasn’t so engaging, this film is so stylized and creatively made that it would still be a must watch documentary in my book.

Ethan Minsker’s Man in Camo is a prolific viewing experience, displaying the artist through his multi-dimensional art, and his life-story and the impact this has had on him as a creative. It is inspiring and truly interesting to get to experience the internal and external contributors to an artist’s development in this multi-faceted film.

This film went over many topics such as fear of death, living with dyslexia, gun violence, creative expression, and more. At first, this confused me but in the end it all comes together. I liked the aspect of how one thing leads to another and to keep pushing forward no matter the circumstances. The editing style is very fun and fresh, and overall the film is a unique and inspiring documentary.
