Comics (manga in Japanese) and animation (anime) are the biggest pop entertainment media in Japan. More people in Japan read comics than any other country.

OK introduction for someone like me who knows next to nothing about the scene, but it seemed to just wander from place to place without any strong focus. I would have liked some more in-depth interviews.
