The people of Iolph are known for two things: their youthful longevity and peaceful lives weaving tapestry. When that is disturbed and their home thrown into chaos by those believing that their blood gifts longer life, Maquia loses not only her friends, but a place to return to. Lost in both mind and body, she stumbles into a dark forest and happens upon Aliel, an orphaned baby boy. Together, the two embark on an emotional journey of the bond between the ageless and the mortal.

A film so wonderful I was so very upset to have it end. I loved it so much and admit I had to deal with an ever wet face from tears. A truly masterful piece of work and story telling. I would dearly love for another film to sequel, yet, I feel it deserves to very much be a solo piece. My thanks to all who created a wonderful film I'll always love!

Slow paced but a beautiful and poignant story about motherhood. I couldn't stop crying.

Very emotional film, excellent anime quality and story telling.
