Marcel is a tiny shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother, Connie. When an Airbnb guest discovers them, the film he posts online brings Marcel millions of fans and a new hope at finding the rest of his long-lost family.

I love stop motion and this is a brilliant art film. The story and documentary style filming is where it falls flat for me. Marcel is cute for a while but his voice and personality can only carry the story so far on it's own until you're craving more interaction with other characters. I really wish it was more focused on just telling a story of him finding his family rather than some dude filming a documentary; I have a hard time watching films shot this way. I can only suspend disbelief so much

Great film, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 😊 I wasn't expecting to genuinely care about Marcell the Shell, but he's a great character. Plus the stop motion animation is seamlessly integrated into the real world. Highly recommended. 👍🏽

A incredible cinematic masterpiece that will carry on with you for a very long time. Amazing, just amazing. The subtle humor contrast very well with the more deep melancholy tone that the end of the movie presents, I would particularly recommend this to people who are board of repetitive marvel movies or Disney remakes, as it is a very deferent stile of movie to what the average person is used to.
