At age ten, Lucie escaped to an orphanage after fleeing a warehouse where she had been tortured and held prisoner. A decade later, with the help of her childhood friend Anna, Lucie seeks to discover the truth about the brutal family she fled. But as the young women delve into Lucie’s past, they may be destined to become trapped in the horrors it holds. A dumbed down and sanitized version of the original 2009 French movie. If you've never seen nor have any intention of seeing the original then this one is good. I'd suggest you skip this one and check out the original.

I would call this diet martyrs but that would imply that this had anything left of martyrs in it. It's almost as if they flayed the original film like the girl from the original leaving nothing but an empty husk with nothing left of its identity.

Totally Stoled the script from the original Martyrs movie with this one, and made it suck and unrealistic. Nice try though, A for effort but 2 star rating.
