Directed by Garth Davis (Lion and Top of the Lake) and set in the Holy Land in the first century C.E., a young woman (Rooney Mara) leaves her small fishing village and traditional family behind to join a radical new social movement. It is not true to the Bible. Jesus didn't baptized any female for start. A very misleading movie if anyone wish to understand the Bible and Jesus.

The quietest Jesus ever, I think! He barely speaks in this. Of course it's more about Mary Magdalene, but it's funny. You should watch this if you like the two lead actors, otherwise it's nothing all that special.
