Barely worth the $6 I paid to see it in theaters. I'm a big Matrix fan. I grew up watching the films. While this one certainly has its moments, it's mostly unenthusiastic and filled with self congratulatory nonsense and seemingly intentionally cliche "Matrix" quips. But not everyone has the same opinion, it really just comes down to whether you want to spend the money to see it or not.

Easter eggs was good, they completely neutered the male lead role so that only the women were heroic or portrayed strength. The masculine male Neo wasn't present the entire movie, instead he needed to be propped up to be any good. The fight scenes weren't any good and random. I wouldn't waste my time with this trash again. First one is still the best..

Pros: great visuals, nostalgia is fun, first half of the plot was very engaging, actors/actresses do their best with what they have. Cons: fight scenes were mostly disappointing ( we've all seen John Wick, we know what Keanu can still do), last half of the plot wasn't as fun. I would have been fine with a purely fan service action movie with a sprinkle of mind bending matrix shenanigans.... But that's not what we got. I'm not sure which fans this movie was written for, but it wasn't me.
