Don't let the low-star reviews fool you. Those that don't have critical thinking skills don't understand the more complex storyline that comes out of The Matrix Resurrections. In short, when the Matrix was re-booted (who knows how many times) since Matrix 3, the Architect became Neo's therapist, and also put a re-booted Agent Smith in charge of being his employer so he could watch him more closely. However, both Agent Smith and Mr. Anderson being the forces they are, aren't content to do The Therapist's bidding forever, and a show-down ensues.

It was really disappointing. For what it was, it was decent if you've NEVER seen any of the original movies. I loved the new actors and faces, but the entire plot was so DRAWN out. I would not pay to see this, and when I saw it, it was free at a friend's house. It was literally nearly 3 hours just to get Trinity an upgrade to fly like Neo. I did appreciate the little Easter eggs here and there, but it could have been much shorter. The last 30mins we're the best part of the ENTIRE movie.

I came with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Philosophically interesting to me. I know everybody seems to be love or hate. I get it, but I don't get it. I watch Marvel movies and think they are pointless (and boring because they are so unoriginal). I know the whole world disagrees with me there- just check the box office. It's the superhero thing, I suppose. The Matrix, its ideas- they resonate. I can believe this is a world of code, for the brain itself, is a whole lot of wiring.
