This story touched my heart, and my spirit in So many positive ways! What an amazing Lady, Person Artist Maude was. Especially with all that had unknowingly forced upon this dear sweet spirit and soul of a Lady. She is even after her life here has ended, an inspiration. God's Blessings to Maudie! I will continue to watch every year until I leave this beautiful earth, home. Sally and Ethan, perfection.

A beautiful film, in its sensibility and its presentation. The acting is flawless. Sally Hawkins has, for me, become a must-see actor and Ethan Hawke remains impressively interesting in his role choices. Sensitively directed and gorgeously filmed, the subtle, luminous colors of the Nova Scotia countryside contrasting with Maude's innocent, bright palette.

Good acting, good script. Only reason i didn't give it five stars is cause of the woman narrative talking throughout the movie, very distracting.
