Spoiler alert: I just can't fathom the idea of saving one friend could end up killing an entire city with all its majesty. I am probably looking solely on the very surface of this movie - still I don't find it that deep either. Too long and the idea is overused - Doesn't even feel like its connected to the previous ones.

It just doesn't make sense. None of them do and this one least of all. They want to use the immune kids to find a cure, so they put them in a maze with giant robotic spiders that kill them?? Stupid! Then they manage to escape after 3 years only to be hooked up to a machine to harvest their juices? Scorch trial?? Trying to kill them all the time? Makes no sense! It's like they were oooh... we made money, let's make a few more movies with zero sense, just to see if we can make more money?? Barf!

The first movie was good, the second movie was merely "ok" but this final film was absolute garbage. Too many plot holes and deus ex machina moments in this film. People appear out of nowhere, figure stuff out without sufficient clues, poor attempts at jump scare, and a protagonist who can't seem to figure out anything beyond what the writers tell him to do. Thomas is the sole "cure" for the zombie making disease and Teresa is the only one who can synthesis an antidote but eh, RIP humanity so we can all go live near the beach is how this film ends. Horrible writing and I wish I hadn't spent my money on this hot steaming pile of garbage. And if a person has to read the books to understand the films, the filmmakers failed at their jobs of making a compelling and coherent film.
