Good movie, didn't meet my expectations. This movie is COMPLETELY different compare to the books. It has plenty of action and they nailed the cranks appearance, not their personality. They can speak in the books. They look like cranks but are basically zombies as all they do is screech. The film is good in its own ways but please PLEASE do read the book as it is better. Also, I first saw it when I was 9 and they cranks at the start utterly TERRIFIED me. If you 9 or less, watch at your own risk as the cranks are a bit scary. 10+ age is my opinion. Overall: good film but nothing like the book.

I enjoyed the first film. Enough to buy and read the entire series of books. I was looking forward to the release of this film as a result. It seemed entirely devoid of a plot which made sense. The acting was dire. Sadly, there wasn't enough action to compensate for the other shortcomings in the film. I had 3 attempts at watching it and simply could not watch until the end with out turning it off out of sheer tedium.

Just because the film is not like the book doesn't mean its not good. I loved this film and can't wait for the third one, even though its going to be really sad😭😭😭. I love how this one is aimed for slightly older children instead of most ages. However, when i watched this i was 10 and my brother was seven and we didnt find it scary at all so dont listen to the other people commenting it juat depends what sort of things you are used to watching. Would recommend if u liked the first one.
