Apie šį filmą

Bill Murray is at his hilarious best in this classic comedy that's 'Animal House goes to summer camp' (Newsweek). Murray plays Tripper, the wisecracking, rule-bending head counselor at Camp North Star. Whether playing pranks on Camp North Star's clueless director, wooing a female counselor, or scheming against the rich brats of a rival camp, Tripper delivers fun and mayhem in a laugh-filled summer his campers will remember forever!

Meatballs, 1979. The late director; Ivan Reitman’s first major hit. It was also the beginning of a great working relationship with Bill Murray. The two would go on to make Stripes and Ghostbusters. I loved the introduction of Chris Makepeace who would go on to star in My Bodyguard. One summer a bunch of meatballs went away to a summer camp that was lead by an even bigger meatball!

While I wouldn't call this a raucous comedy, it's definitely fun to watch people enjoying a simpler time. That's not to say that it isn't without it's flaws (especially by 2020 standards), but overall it's fairly clean-ish. No nudity (but lots of bra-less women), at least one swear word said, a kind of sexually aggressive wrestling scene, and lots of "did you do it?" talk. The story can feel a bit disjointed at times but Bill Murray is so darn entertaining that you'll probably forget about it.

Is you have ever served on camp staff it will make you homesick for just one more summer on staff! Awesome chemistry of the actors. Bill Murray really sells his part as program director!
