The Medicine reveals the hidden mysteries of one of nature’s most powerful and controversial healing remedies: Ayahuasca. Increasingly popular in the West, Ayahuasca is both a tradition in Amazonian shamanism and a promising new focus of mental health research. The Medicine introduces spiritual leader Taita Juanito Guillermo Chindoy Chindoy, both a teacher and student of the sacred plant in the Colombian Amazon, where Ayahuasca is known as Yagé. Former NFL safety Kerry Rhodes and actor AnnaLynne McCord, each facing personal struggles, are introduced to Ayahuasca by Taita Juanito, guided through a true ceremonial practice, and emerge with new insights. ( First lets address the elephant in the room . WASN'T THAT LADY BEAUTIFUL ? I had to get that out of the way ; she's distracting.) This is so very important information coming through the cracks of the present paradigm . I believe in the evolution of understanding our universe and our place in it. For one to face the fear that spurns their selfishness ; that one could not presently see ; never mind admit; within a few short hours is the awe inspiring. This is the kind of experience that transforms a person on a visceral level . What can be achieved in a few short hours; could not hope to happen in 10 years of therapy. This experience is by definition a 'Spiritual Experience' and everyone that has it avers that they have become conscious of their Creator and the way they react /act to life has changed because they have a new view and attitude toward absolutely everything and everyone . A miracle "drug" truly . Imagine being transformed into the person you really already are; but fear will not allow you to be you ; because ; "what would other people think ?' That's a sliver of one facet of a thousand that have become the filter through which ALL decisions are made for so many . I read it described (fear) as " an evil and corroding thread that shoots through the very fabric of our existence ". It is so much a part of our lives that most cannot see it . I know other ways to spiritual experience or awakening ; that take many years ; even with the most willing attitude. The journey can be the most joy filled experience and the most pain filled experience . Most people could tell you just that. The difference in time is that natural elements and the plant life intended for the very purpose is not used . That a plant can do that is beyond me . THIS MUST BE DONE AS TRADITION HAS ALWAYS DONE FOR THAT VERY PURPOSE . GOING SPIRITUAL MATTERS ALONE IS DANGEROUS . THAT'S BECAUSE A BLIND PERSON CAN NOT GUIDE A BLIND PERSON ---- THAT IS; NOT WITHOUT THE ASSISTANCE OF AN EXPERIENCED GUIDE.
