In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Jessie Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears in visionary filmmaker Alex Garland's (Ex Machina, Annihilation) feverish, shape-shifting new horror film.

Men is terrifying. It is a film that has a twisted mind. There are the hauntingly shot scenes that are just creepy, the sound in one scene mixes well witn the score, and Buckley's and Kinnear's acting maybe just fit in the best of the year acting catagory. The film brought me to losing breath a little for sure. It is a true frightscape, which A24 really likes to deliever. Alex Garland delievers again with Men.

This film is so misguided its basically about abusive men being some sort of constant in the world. A women wants a divorce the husband kills himself and according to this film he killed himself to abuse his wife. No mention of her part in the failing marriage. This film is a man hating victim blaming gross horror. If a man wanted a divorce and his wife killed herself society would deem her unwell with mental health issues possibly even caused by the man. In this film men are all abusive

A man giving birth to a man who gives birth to another man who then gives birth to yet another man and i think there may have been one more man after that. I'm certain even the director and writer couldn't explain the ending or point of this film. Pretty decent build up for about an hour just to be blown away with absurdity for the final forty minutes. Then left completely hanging without an actual conclusion. I'll give it one extra star for the main actress. She was pretty talented. 2/5
