Mermaid's Curse is a magical mix of Pan's Labyrinth and Carnivale. When Charlotte's mother dies it leaves her and her five sisters helping their father run their family business to make ends meet. Help comes in the form of a gangster who offers to pay off their debts in exchange for making changes to the business. What he doesn t know is that Charlotte is in fact a mermaid, capable of controlling humans with her voice, and what follows is a magical war in which antagonists from many camps seek to take advantage of Charlotte's power.
