Metallica Through the Never is a groundbreaking music-driven motion picture event. I originally saw this in 3D at the cinema, which is a close as you will experience a live Metallica gig without going to a live Metallica gig. Their musicianship is of course second to none, though I don't think many non fans will be able to make it all the way through. More interesting than Cunning Stunts.

But the story line running between songs ran out of steam towards the end and what started off as suspense and intrigue just turned into a weird nightmare/bad trip kind of music video. But the concert was superb and it restored my faith in metallica.

I like the story running through the concert. Its different and worked well with the songs. They couldn't have done a bit more with it but it still made for a unique concert experience
