Cult dos desenhos animados japoneses que fez enorme sucesso nos anos 1960 - e que até hoje passa na televisão a cabo - sobre um garoto que pilota seu carro de corrida chamado Match 5. Em todas as competições o jovem está acompanhado do pai, que construiu o carro, além da namoradinha e de um macaco muito esperto. De longe, só apreciando a tudo, está o temível mascarado Corredor X. Que na verdade é irmão do garoto, mas ele não sabe.

I watched speed racer the cartoon when it came out. The things I like about this movie are the A,B,C, buttons; the jumper, the M5 design. This film has some of the best actors around like Susan Sarandon and Hiroyuki Sanada. The best bits are the desert race and the final race. Everything else I had to fast forward to make this film watchable. So, literally I just watch speed racer push some button, jumped around, and Susan Sarandon's incredible acting skill which is her ability to react to nothing. If I watched the whole movie, I would have hated it. Fast forward made it into just a "don't like it" score. Go speed racer goooooooooooooooooo. Hay speed racer, the secret engine design is etched on the wind shield BTW.

It's a movie that seemed to focus on style rather than much else. The story is terrible, the acting is subpar (even with some decent actors in it) and the races are just not that exciting. It feels like they decided that on a particular drifting cgi and just kept that throughout. The cinemasins for this movie was more entertaining.

Speed Racer is a really cool movie! It's got crazy races, awesome cars, and a lot of heart. The colors are super bright and the action is non-stop. It's definitely a fun movie to watch with friends.
