About this movie

17-year-old Katie Price (Bella Thorne) has been sheltered since childhood with a rare disease that makes even the smallest amount of sunlight deadly. During the day she is housebound, but after nightfall, Katie can venture out to the local train station and play her guitar for travelers. One night, her dreams come true when she’s noticed by Charlie (Patrick Schwarzenegger), whom she has secretly admired for years, and decides to hide her condition from him as the two embark on a uniquely powerful romance over one nearly perfect summer. - ( Original Title - Midnight Sun )

Actually this is the remake of A Song to the Sun (Japanese original version). I haven't seen this so-called American version and I don't plan to. The Japanese version is better if you're more into foreign movies/version. I know there a lot of remake movies of the Asian movies too. A Song of the Sun movie is hard to find but watch that version if you like and if you can. I saw it on YouTube years ago. It doesn't even have xxx like most American teen movies.

Heart wrenching movie about a STUPID, selfish girl who left the guy she supposedly loved guilty & her father lonely so that she could be"normal" for a few days instead of sharig who she really was & letting him learn to protect her so they could have a life together. Pointless waste of time

Why am i not surprised that this is rated so highly on here? I feel like movies with the same overused plot are churned out basically every year. If you're gonna make a movie with the same dull and uninteresting premise, at least make it remotely enjoyable. Boring characters, boring romance. Everything was so very boring.
