I read the book first, and couldn't put it down. I believe it was on the NY Times Bestseller list longer than any other book, several years. Then I had the chance to visit Savannah when a family member got married there. I absolutely fell in love with the city. It was positively enchanting. Lo and behold the Williams Mercer home had become a museum so I got to tour the lower level of the house. It was so unbelievable to be in the same room where this famous murder happened! Then came the movie which I have seen well I have lost count of how many times and the sountrack is awesome. I highly recommend the book, the movie, and the city!

From the story line to the actors, this is a phenomenal movie. Lies, betrayal, and good ole' southern hospitality.....just watch out who's spilling the real "TEA" of their true nature in the Savannah summer heat.

This story is probably my most favorite movie/book I've read. Me & my husband @ the time took his parents that came over from England & we went down to Savannah Georgia & the movie had recently came out. Savannah is gorgeous and the history is awesome! We saw the lady that knew 6k songs & Lady Chablis. If ever get a chance visit Savannah it has interesting history a must see
