This film is awful. The writer tells the story by having his character's preach statistics and endlessly lecture one another. This is extremely boring and painful to endure. You will find yourself cheering when the assassination finally comes; anything to get this movie to end.

Awful, Penn is an insult to the amazing humanitarian and much more attractive Milk and his legacy. Stick with his brilliant documentary. This is just another piss poor hw biopic.

An eye opening view of how bigoted our society was in the 70's. I noticed all the one star reviews are simply homophobic and bigoted . I'm personalty am not gay, but this movie helped me see the kinds of persecution that the gay community is facing. This movie also made me sad when I realized that some of the same problems highlighted are still problems today.
