A lyrical picture essay on the resiliency of life, family and unspoken love. It is a quiet and pastoral piece with a punch having both drama and comic relief seamlessly woven into it, and the story reminded me of Marcel Pagnol's "La gloire de mon père" and Pearl S. Buck's "The Good Earth" at the same time. The background OST music is beautiful, and the cinematography unbelievably gorgeous. Some complain about the ending but I find it rather realistic that way.
