Not that this was supposed to be high theater, but this even gave low brow a bad name. Just a bunch of rambling, disjointed set-pieces set amongst weirdly adult choices of Doors and Beatles music. Minions are supposed to be playful and fun. This movie wasn't. It was strange. It was violent and even in some brief ways inappropriate--call me a prude if you want. In any case, I'm glad I rented this because now my kids know why Daddy didn't buy it for them. He wants them to have good things.

It had its good parts but that were only from the thailer the animation was really great the humor was amazing but it was rushed it moved on to stuff quickly and it's the worst movie out of the minions also the story was really dumb the way they met gru was soooooo rushed I don't like it and Hollywood fails again also it had a lot of sex messages and evil violence that was too mature for kids DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THIS PECIE OF GARBAGE

The only reason I'm giving this three stars is because the minions are in it (obviously) but the whole theme was a little odd. I know they had to have some story leading up to when they first met Gru, but come on! This movie is full of lame stuff! If you are just trying it or not crazy about this film just watch it on Netflix, don't waste your money getting it from redbox or Google Play!
