Separated from their unit, they find themselves in a remote Tuscan village where they experience the tragedy and the triumph of war. Based on the highly praised novel by James McBride, and filled with exceptional battle scenes and action, it's a gripping and inspiring story that will touch the goodness within us all and never let go.

A wartime film from a different perspective... I'm glad that we can see an example on the screen that Black Americans did have a significant contribution to the war effort despite rampant racism and sometimes being relegated to support assignments.

wish I could rate it lower. terribly written, awful acting, historically inaccurate, incredibly racist, offensive to African American veterans. watch only for the lolz

Good story.. I don't know how accurate or inaccurate it was but I have yet to see a accurate war movie since I was never in any war.
