Great holiday movie for little people and little people in big bodies! Young children will relate, they are probably grappling with the same "truth or lie," about whether Santa Claus really exists. The rest of us can go back there too, its easy to slip back in time with a beautiful film like this, yes even in black and white. Actors Maureen O'Hara, and gifted young actress Natalie Wood, and a real Santa at heart, take us there. We go willingly because everyone must have a little magic in our lives, its a shameless human desire to wish upon a star hoping for a peak into a luminous mystery beyond that sentinel of realism.

As a kid my Uncle had a place on Central Park West great spot for parade, that was the 70's. What the city in its golden era must have been like around this event! Remember Gimbels! Hate getting duped when listed in BW and colorized version is on Ted Turner should be smacked!
