Film honi buruz

Based on the books series written by David Paulides Missing 411 chronicles the unsolved yet eerily similar disappearances of five children in the wilds of North America accross multiple decades. A real-life horror story for those involved, the film examines each case from multiple perspectives in an attempt to shed light on the unsettling topic. Les Stroud of Survivorman and Obama-appointed, former Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar are both interviewed for their insight into the topic, as are the families who have fallen victim to tragedy.

Wasn't as good as I honestly expected. Others who have complained that the movie failed to focus enough on the 411 phenomena have at least correctly identified the reason this film struck me as being kind of "weak," in addition to the fact that the story they gave the most airtime to seemed like it was most likely a human abduction rather than a mysterious disappearance, and pretty much killed the whole point of watching the movie in the first place, from my perspective. Here's hoping the next movie will be better.

After listening to David Paulides being interviewed about all the "Missing 411" cases, my expectations were high. While interesting, this documentary doesn't deliver in the way I expected. In my opinion, it would have been better if the documentary was just a narrated description of a handful of the most intriguing cases instead of following one case with a few similar cases thrown in to extend the time.

It could have included at least one of the hundreds of adult stories. Interesting but some of the technical issues got to be annoying (constant weird "looking up from the floor" camera angles in all the interviews). Going back and forth between the 3 cases was tiring. Worth seeing once, especially if you have never heard of the phenomenon. Buying...well, probably not.
