As usual, Laika has stepped up their game with their absolutely gorgeous stop motion animation. This film doesn't embrace the dark elements the studio is usually known for though, they focus more on the friendship and growth of the characters and the exotic locales they visit. After the masterpiece that is Kubo and the Two Strings, Missing Link may seem a bit underwhelming in comparison, but its worth watching nonetheless.

The movie is beautiful. The director has a strong visual eye. However this has some of the weakest characters of all the Laika movies and one of the least interesting plots.
