This movie plays with the imagination, something we so desperately need again in the movie industry. Most recent Mars movies avoid the unknown, they land on it and say it sucks let's get off this rock, or they spend the whole movie getting there and concentrate on Earth with back stories of crew. Boring 😴

The cast was fantastic, and the dialogue was fairly well written, but the basic premise of the film and the ending were two of the biggest cop-outs in Science Fiction since Disney's The Black Hole.

Another in a series of well executed thought-provoking films with good cinematography and special effects and a good storyline but without the oomph! to get over the hump and into the consideration of the massive number of people to make it a hit. should be added to the list of films to be seen by science-fiction film lovers.
