Henry Fonda is restless to see actual combat during World War II, but is stuck on a cargo ship with a crew of practical jokers who torment James Cagney, their slightly crazy captain. Cagney, of course, decides to get even. Superb ensemble acting, including Jack Lemmon's Oscar-winning performance as Ensign Pulver, make this movie a much beloved classic. One of the best films, and a great showcase for its stars. It's one of the few films I could watch almost anytime!

I've enjoyed this movie since I was a kid, never gets old. A good watch..
