In writer-director Noah Baumbach's, MISTRESS AMERICA, Tracy (Lola Kirke) is a lonely college freshman in New York, having neither the exciting university experience nor the glamorous metropolitan lifestyle she envisioned. But when she meets her soon-to-be stepsister and adventurous gal about town, Brooke (Greta Gerwig), Tracy is rescued from disappointment and seduced by Brooke's mad schemes.

Pretentious script tries very hard to appear clever and funny but is so full of nonsensical dialogue that it renders it characters charmless.......it was an ordeal to get two thirds into it........ at which point I finally gave up the hope, that it was going to get any better and pressed, stop play
