1953 America was a time ripe for change for women and when Katherine Ann Watson (Julia Roberts) arrives to teach Art History at Wellesley College, she finds the institution drowning in outdated mores. While the nation struggles with the fears that accompany a shifting political culture, the powers that be at Wellesley seem to want to re-corset the women who had been the backbone of the World War II workforce just a few years earlier. CA Professor, teaches Art, at Wellsley; High Academic College. Falls in Love with a fellow Professor, who turns out to be a jerk! She learns & when faced with, Class Content Control, by the school's Board of Academia, she moves on. Her impact on her Students, will never be forgotten! I Love the film! I also like that it's done by, Julia & Danny's, Production Company. Outstanding performances, by all Cast Members. Special nods to, Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst & Marcia Gay Harden.

Awesome movie. Impossible not to love the special touch that Julia Roberts gives to this teacher...example for every woman. we are all meant to be more than a wife...
