In this real-time, high stakes thriller George Clooney and Julia Roberts star as financial TV host Lee Gates and his producer Patty, who are put in an explosive situation when an irate investor who has lost everything (Jack O’Connell) forcefully takes over their studio. Something missing - this could've been brilliant but the tension wasn't allowed to rise above just simmering because the direction was off the boil - almost every cut away from the studio was like an ad for extras. I would have loved to have seen this movie just played out in the studio; it was a good enough premise for that - if only the director had a little more faith in her audience. Overall; very good but disappointed in Foster's direction.

Jodie Foster is an amazing actress and has directed this well shot piece. The cast is great and the film begins well, but it stumbles midway through with an uneven tone and odd decisions. It's like John Q a bit, but that's better. Watch that. Check this out if you like.

VERY good movie. a little tame as to the subject matter, but well worth a watch. Leaves you to make up your own mind, but few would argue that it isnt criminal.
