They have taken the entire history, back stories and everything else and completely thrown it out. The story is flimsy, the animation atrocious and the voice acting horrible. The speech & mouths don't even match up properly. Kinda like the old kung fu movies. Really disappointed on this movie. Clearly a money grabber and a way to sell more dolls. My daughter who is among one of the biggest fans of the franchise watched it once and wouldn't watch it again. This coming from a kid that could recite every movie

Seems like they didn't even try with this one. I used to love this entire monster high series of movies and dolls. Loved it. I wouldn't have changed a thing loved them for what they were. Now with the new animation style and the story line they created it seems they hardly cared to try. I am sad to say I am done with monster high. I hate the new change. This story line is boring and I was just confused the entire time I watched. And it's almost like a reboot of the very first movie. Not happy. Goodbye MH.

After reading all the One-Star reviews, I wasn't sure how I would feel about this movie. But I decided to watch it, and I liked it. THE GOOD: The animation was done well, even though it was different and looked like a Barbie movie (but they're both by Mattel, soooo...) , the new phrase "it's not impossible, just challenging" is spook-tacular, and the songs were nice. THE BAD: The storyline goes against parts from other movies, some voices were changed, and it felt like a ripoff of Hotel Transylvania.
