I came into this with fairly low expectations after seeing Resident evil, same main lead and same director. Even then it still managed to disappoint with the terrible acting and horrible plot. It is absolutely nothing like the game. I honestly think my 5-year-old cousin would do a better job at writing, filming and acting then whatever this cash grab is. 0 star movie + 5 for monsters -3 for the absolutely terrible acting and the fact that I am never getting my time back. Tldr: Don't Watch!

Story starts off really slowly with no charcter development. Lots of violence and killing but not alot of story till over half way through the movie. The CGI effects in the "new world" are terrible and the acting is even worse. Dont watch this film if you like good movies or are a fan of the games... You will be disappointed.

The monsters were the only good part about this, never played the game before I had nothing to compare it to but the all star cast was unable to lift up the falling plot and lack of what was going on. Had some action scenes but wasn't enough to keep me enthralled in the film, just had something missing. Would still watch it and make up your own mind :)
